When I first came to Puerto Rico in 2008 I had no idea that I was going to the place and the people I’d fall in love with. I had never been to PR, and I didn’t know anyone there. I can never express adequately how immeasurably blessed I’ve been to know and be loved by so many beautiful people in Puerto Rico.

It is my mission to not only serve the communities in Puerto Rico, but to also equip our volunteers to serve in such a way that changes their life for the better, forever.

It never ceases to amaze me how God continually uses ordinary people to go out and meet the deep spiritual and physical needs of this world.  There are times we may long for miraculous signs and wonders like we read about, but I say that every man, woman, and child that lays down their life and accepts the call to serve is a living, breathing, miracle! 

God has richly blessed me in my marriage, and given us five beautiful children!  My passion is to help people move beyond "religion" and into a head-over-heels, leave it all behind trust in God.  I am praying for YOU to join us here! 

Michelle Raven, Ph.D.

Michelle L. K. Raven serves as an Associate Dean in the College of Intercultural Studies Disaster Relief Emergency Management Systems of Columbia International University. She is a retired Air Force Lieutenant Colonel (JAG) and has served with Christar International. She has a passion for community development, reconciliation, and training and leading teams to serve around the world. She is the proud mother of two amazing sons.
